The Novacene · Lilith and Eve

The verse is already
in the noise

Two interactive plates about hidden depth. The first is a classic magic eye — a single-image random-dot stereogram that asks your two eyes to disagree. The second hides the same depth in time instead, so that everyone can see the word rise, no technique required. Slide its drift to zero and the word vanishes: the information exists only in the relation between frames.

Plate 01

Look through the screen

The classic single-image random-dot stereogram, computed live. Choose a hidden shape or word, adjust the pattern repeat, and — if your eyes will diverge politely — watch it lift out of the static.

Plate 02

The verse in the noise

Motion parallax: near dots drift more than far ones, and the hidden word surfaces on its own. This is how a pigeon sees depth. No eye tricks, no failure state.
